“ In a crowded seafood marketplace, it is easy to overlook sakura. I recently felt that way as I walked by and decided to drop in for lunch. I was carrying an iced coffee. I ordered the three roll lunch special. I got a soup and a salad. They were great. I got six of each type of roll for a total of 18 rolls. The waitress asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I said no. I never got water. Upon reflection, with my obnoxious iced coffee, this was probably my own fault and a miscommunication, especially since, upon being checked on three times, I never asked for water. I washed my hands in the very clean restroom. Overall, the waitress was attentive. My food was tasty and it was quiet in the restaurant. ”

“ I've been ordering Sushi Sashimi for 2 ($52 Assorted raw fish by chef's choice 18 sashimi, 8 sushi, California roll, green dragon roll with and salad) from Sakura for quite some time now, and I've got to say that their fish was fresh and plentiful. Their salad dressing was tasty as well as their sushi rolls. This order was enough for two, and sometimes we couldn't finish it. I wish they could've given more shiso leaves though, but anyway we'll continue to order from Sakura! ”

“ For a sushi lover, I feel like Astoria's sushi options are underwhelming. There are 3 really good options (Sakura, Watawa and pink nori). This is the most affordable of the 3 and still manages to be good quality. I always leave feeling satisfied! ”

“ This will probably be my new staple for sushi in the area. I tried some other places nearby but this has solid sushi for a good price point. I got the spicy crab and spicy shrimp roll as well as the ditmars roll here. I was not expecting the spicy rolls to have that strong of a kick since most places still are mild for me but it was pretty decent here. You could actually notice a small spicy flavor in those rolls so that immediately hooked me in. The ditmars roll was absolutely amazing especially the pieces of crab on top. It was a pretty hearty roll so that also beat my expectations. ”
